The Japan Folk Crafts Museum

Located in Tokyo, the Mingeikan Museum is housed in a beautiful traditional Japanese building completed in 1936. Founded in the same year, the Mingeikan has over 17,000 items in its collection made by anonymous crafts people mainly from Japan, but also from China, Korea, England, Africa, and elsewhere.

MUSEUM HOURS

10:00 am to 5:00 pm; closed on Monday
Last Admission at 4:30 pm
If Monday is a national holiday, the museum will be open, and instead close on Tuesday
Open on National Holidays, except for year-end
and new-year holiday season
ADMISSION

Adults 1,000 yen (800 yen per person for groups)
High School & University Students 500 yen
(400 yen for groups)
Elementary & Middle School Students 200 yen (150 yen for groups)
Group rates apply for parties of 20 or more individuals
